Amalgamated Cash Services are not the biggest 'Cash In Transit' Security company in Australia, but they certainly are among the best.
ACS are simply dedicated to delivering the best, most flexible services possible to their clients. A very important part in this success is the facility that is the centre of ACS's operations.
To ensure maximum cash security and staff safety ACS has invested in a security compound that houses a specially built cash processing and storage complex. This complex was designed and built to meet exacting Reserve Bank standards.
The complex walls, floor and ceiling are constructed of reinforced concrete, while the thick steel doors and windows are blast and bullet proof. All access doorways throughout the complex have double door entries, where only one door can be opened at a time. In addition all doorways, rooms, outside grounds and street access are video monitored and require authentication before access is granted.
The Cash Room is where all cash processing takes place at ACS. It is a self-contained and securely fortified room under the supervision of an armed guard. Additionally multiple video cameras record cash processing and monitor the area on a 24 hour basis. A large blast and drill proof walk-in vault is located within the Cash Room and is where all cash is securely stored when not being processed.
The Cash Room itself is equipped with a variety of modern cash and coin processing equipment to ensure speed and accuracy of money processing jobs no matter how large.
A secure Operations Room is located next to the Cash Room and is where guards are assigned equipment and jobs. All vehicles are monitored by GPS and tracked from this area.
ACS's facility at West Gosford, although not quite as large as the Sandgate compound is similar in structure, security, equipment, cash processing and storage.
